HIRE INFORMATION

Driver’s Eligibility 

We allow up to two named drivers and both must be present at the time of collection with the required documentation. 

We are required to carry out a DVLA check on all UK licenses before allowing the campervan to leave the depot. Please ensure you meet the insurance requirements at the time of booking as any refunds will be subject to our terms of alteration and cancellation standards should identified drivers be unable to drive the camper. 

 
Uk license holders

To drive an Eternity Campers Rental Campervan drivers must:

  1. Have a lead driver over 21 and under 79 years for the durations of the rental period  
  2. The second driver must be over 23 and under 70 years  
  3. All drivers must hold a valid manual full UK driving license with category B and have a minimum of 2 years driving experience.  
  4. Not have more than 6 penalty points over the past 3 years for minor convictions.  
  5. Not have no more than 1 insurance claims made against you in the last 3 years. 
  6. Any driving convictions, accidents, insurance refusal, endorsements, disabilities or medical conditions must be declared prior and following the booking. 

Eternity campers cannot enter a rental agreement with anyone who:

  1. Has major driving offence during past 5 years or any persecutions pending. 
  2. Has more than 6 penalty points or has been disqualified for a period 3 months or more in the past 5 years.

Documentation

All drivers must be present on the day of collection and at the time of the handover. 

On the day of collection each driver must bring their full domestic driving license (both photo and paper part) and their DVLA check https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Plus, your passport and 2 recent utility bills (dated within the last 60 days) with a matching name and address to that on the license.

Hire charges & Rental periods

Full payment is required at the time of booking your hire. This will secure the time and dates you want for your hire. Your booking will need to meet the minimum rental requirement within the month(s) you plan to hire the campervan:  

  • Low-Season: November-February   minimum 3-night bookings.
  • Mid-Season: March-June & October minimum 5-night bookings.
  • High-Season:  July- September minimum 6-night bookings.

During high-season bookings are subject to specific day for hire due to increase in demand. The campervan can only be booked for rental periods of 6-night booking blocks. You will be collected on first Saturday by 12:00 and returned the final Friday by 16:00 of the rental period. Should you require to rent the campervan outside of the specific days, this is need to be requested before booking.

Refundable Security Deposit

A security deposit is required from the lead drivers priced at the following:

  • £1,000 for drivers aged 21 and 75.

If you are going to attend festivals, concerts, sporting events this is £1500. This is taken using a BACs transfer.  The deposit will be released back to you within 7 working days of the end of your rental period subject to terms and conditions. 

 

Alterations and Cancellations to bookings

If you need to alter or cancel your booking please email or contact us by email or post. Alterations to your booking can be made from the confirmed date of your reservation until 42 days before your rental period without charge. Alternative dates will be dependent on availability of dates required and may incur an extra payment should the rebooking fall within a different season charge rate. Rebooking will need to be within the same calendar year. 

If you do need to cancel within 41 days of your booking, we will need to make these charges: 

  • 30-40 days 35% of hire charge 
  • 15-29 days 50% of hire charge 
  • 3-14 days 80% of hire charge  
  • within 48 hours no refunds are available.

We recommend that you purchase holiday insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which could mean you are not to take you holiday. 

 

Insurance and excess 

Campervan Insurance is included with the hire charge, only the named drivers will be covered to drive the vehicle. The campervan  is not insured to leave the UK and only insured for the period rented.

Passengers 

All passenger must be stated in the Rental Agreement no other passengers are able to travel in the campervan. When traveling with a child, the correct child safety seat should be fitted, that is in accordance with the UK law. Please provide this safety seat or appropriate child restraint (in accordance with their age and height) and their responsibility to correctly this to the campervan.

Where to go…

In an Eternity Campervan you can visit many beautiful placed in the UK, 150 miles per night books gives you the freedom to travel almost anywhere. Why not take a road trip to Cornwall or Scotland, Cumbria or Norfolk. There are so many hidden beautiful places and hidden gems it is a perfect way to discover somewhere new.  

During peak season it is advisable to book campsites in advance especially in the poplar parts of the UK to ensure you have a pitch. 

 

For discounted site fees

To add value to your camping experience we are members of The Camping and Caravanning Club Motorhome Hire Scheme, which entitles you to up to 30% off Club Sites and 15% off Camping in The Forest Sites. In your hire unit you will find a copy of the Camping and Caravanning Club Motorhome Hire Guide, which lists all participating sites helping you to choose the perfect location throughout your entire journey. You can also find details of their sites on the Club website www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk

When you’ve selected the Club Site you’d like to stay on, all you have to do is show them the Motorhome Hire key fob, which you will find on the keys of your hire vehicle, on arrival to claim your discount. 

 

How to book

To guarantee your pitch it’s best to book. To Book your campsite please call the service centre on 024 7647 5426 for Club Sites or 024 7647 3008 for Camping in the Forest sites and let the advisor know that you are booking under the Motorhome Hire Scheme. A minimal deposit will be taken and upon arrival at the Club Site, your due balance will be discounted accordingly on presentation of the Motorhome Hire key fob provided. Alternatively, you can make a non-member booking online and follow the same process. 

 

What to pack

One of the best reasons for hiring a campervan is to leave everything behind and only have the bare necessities with you.

  • Pack light and place your clothes in bags so they will be able to fit in the storage cupboards. 
  • Bring bedding duvet/sleeping bag and a throw if you like the warmth. 
  • Don’t forget your towels and a torch for those evening adventures. 

Picking-up my rental campervan

Your Campervan will be ready from 4pm on your desired day of collection. Please ensure all drivers are present for the collection and have your documents with you. We have free onsite car parking for one vehicle per campervan hire if required so you will have no worries about your vehicle whilst away. 

If you would like an earlier collection time, we will try to accommodate this if possible. Unfortunately, during busy periods we may not be able alter the collection time and we may not be able to confirm this until a few days before your travel.

The campervan handover will take about one hour to complete. This will include checking documents and DVLA certifications,, the completing rental agreement and familiarisation of your camper. The campervan will also be prepared with a full tank of diesel to help you to your destination. This will ensure you get the best possible experience from your hire.

Returning my rental Campervan

Your rental campervan will need to be returned to us and unloaded by 12:00pm. We can accommodate early times if required. Late returns may impact on another customer’s holiday and incur a late return charge.  

You can request a late return and we will be able to confirm this request a few days before your hire period. However, during busy periods  we may not be accommodate a late return. We recommend that your last campsite booking is only a few hours away from our depot. 

When returning the campervan please ensure that the vehicle in the same condition as it was at the beginning of your rental period. Make sure the interior is clean, the water tank is emptied, remove all rubbish, wash the dishes and ensure the hob, sink and fridge is clean. Please return the Campervan with a full tank of diesel but do not worry about the gas bottle as this is part of your hire price. 

On return, a handover will be undertaken, this should take no longer than a 1 hour and the required paperwork and inspection will be completed. We will endeavour to return your deposit within 7 days of the end of your rental period given the is returned in in appropriate condition and you have no outstanding insurance claims, penalties, parking charges or fines.
